EARTHCRAFT TRAINING
Westside HBA has teamed up with EarthCraft to provide training necessary for its members to participate in the Westside "Goes Green" Program and the Neighborhood Stabilization Program. EarthCraft House Training Programs are designed to provide instruction of the highest quality while meeting the scheduling needs of busy professionals. Trainings are offered to home builders, renovators and real estate professionals. All trainings are completed within one day and are approved for continuing education credits. EarthCraft Builder Training In this 8 hour course builders are trained on building science basics and methods of applying high performance and environmentally friendly construction techniques to new homes, including how to improve the energy efficiency, indoor air quality and durability of these homes. Information is also presented about marketing an EarthCraft House and program administration and protocol. Builder Training Materials - All participants receive a binder containing the EarthCraft House worksheet and Technical Guidelines; information about EarthCraft House marketing, administration and program protocol; a printed copy of the presentation delivered at the training; and information about construction materials and services provided by EarthCraft House sponsors. EarthCraft Renovation Training In this 7.5 hour course learn how to apply high performance construction techniques to renovations and remodeling projects; how to improve the energy efficiency, indoor air quality and durability of an existing house and how to certify a renovation as an EarthCraft House. Renovation training materials - All participants receive a binder containing the EarthCraft House Renovation worksheet and Technical Guidelines; information about EarthCraft House marketing, administration and program protocol; a printed copy of the presentation delivered at the training; and information about construction materials and services provided by EarthCraft House sponsors. EarthCraft Realtor Training In this 3.5 hour course REALTORS are trained on building science basics and what makes an EarthCraft House, mortgage incentives for energy efficient building, details and benefits of the EarthCraft House program, and how to successfully market an EarthCraft home. Realtor training materials - All participants receive bound printed copies of the presentation “Selling the EarthCraft House.”
